Luxli Fiddle

The Luxli Fiddle is a powerful lighting tool that gives the user complete control over the intensity and color of light for Low-level Landscape Lighting. The quality of the light is outstanding, and it can be easily modified with the nifty magnetic diffuser. The Luxli Conductor app allows the user to control multiple lights remotely, increasing their utility significantly.

Luxli Viola

Bright when I need bright, dim when I need dim, and allows me to control color temperature with a precision I could have only dreamed of before. The Luxli Viola quite literally changed the kinds of night photographs I can create.

Tenba Roller Hybrid 21

For about 20 years I used a backpack to get my gear from place to place, but as I got into my mid-40s, my back and shoulders didn’t appreciate that anymore. Using a roller saved me from suffering aches for a day or two after travel days. My roller of choice is the Tenba Hybrid. It allows me to get to and through and from airports with my pounds and pounds of gear smoothly and effortlessly rolling behind me. For those times when I do need to shoulder the load for a bit, I can quickly fold out the straps and put the bag on my back. The Roller Hybrid is sturdy and well constructed, and fits everything I need for a productive photo trip.

Coast G9 Inspection Beam Pocket Light

It’s tiny, uses a single AAA battery and has a relatively dim, fixed beam. And with a quick and easy hack it turns out to be perfectly suited for illuminating your camera or the inside of your bag without ruining your night vision.

Coast FL75R Rechargeable Pure Beam Focusing Headlamp

I never liked headlamps until I used this one. The FL75R is comfortable to wear and easy to operate. I mainly use it for the red lamp so I can see safely without ruining my night vision, but also like the focusable white beam for seeing far off in the dark.

Vello FreeWave Plus Wireless Micro Remote Shutter Release

I love the freedom of being able to walk into place, fire my camera remotely, and then begin light painting. No trying to beat a timer, running and trying not to trip in the dark. The Freewave is small, easy to use, and I love the blue LED on the receiver so I can see from far away in the dark that the shutter has opened.

Manfrotto Bumblebee Backpack

The Bumblebee has an ergonomic design that’s comfortable to wear for long hikes, which is good, because it’s big enough to hold pretty much any camera gear I’d want to bring on a wilderness shoot. It’s also small enough to classify as a carry-on for commercial flights, making this my go-to bag for national park photo trips.

Peak Design Everyday Messenger

We absolutely love these messengers-style bags! You’ll be amazed what you can fit inside them and how well you stay organized…and stylish! We recommend the 15” version but if you have a smaller system the 13” is a nice option. Look for their backpacks, now on kickstarter, to be available to the masses in early 2017!

Tether Tools Case Relay System

The ultimate making sure your camera stays powered all night long! Choose the right connection to your specific camera, connect to the Case Relay, and then add any USB battery pack! Add the strapmore connection to keep it all organized and wrapped around your tripod. Set up your star stack or time-lapse and let it rip. Gabe is still trying to figure out how long it lasts, his last shoot started at 12am and he shut it off at 5am and there was still juice in the tank!
